Born, bred and, against most odds, until recently still residing the in the Midlands town of Northampton, I am an inter-disciplinary writer, photographer, wannabe documentary maker and sometime artist who also blogs sporadically about music and growing up weird and poor in the middle of England.  With a strong focus on non-fiction works, including topical commentary, the weird corners of the internet, and lengthy, obsessive love letters to a handful of specific bands, as well as some over-emotional, angst-ridden shortform fiction, I am a strong supporter in the DIY ethic and that creativity and artistic output shouldn’t have to rely upon also being in possession of an aesthetically pleasing bank account.  I spend most of my spare time (of which there is often quite a lot) making lists in my Filofax, relentlessly scouring the internet for cheap deals and discounts, Wikipedia-ing everything, listening to the same few bands on repeat, and plotting to someday finally cut ties with the small working class town that I can’t seem to let go of.
